INOVAR outdoor decking is made of wood plastic composite that is long lasting with minimum care and maintenance. It is a composite material of recycled wood fiber, LDPE and HDPE plastic and rice husk flour, minus preservative chemicals splinters that can cause harmful incidents.

No, you do not need special tools. All you need is just regular woodworking tools to cut and install INOVAR Decking. Please refer to the installation instructions provided for the required tools.
INOVAR DeckShield UltraDeck, DeckShield MegaDeck and NatureDeck are fire resistant. However, similar to wood, the product is not fireproof and will burn and melt at high temperatures. You should take special precaution when handling items like a barbeque pit or any other potential source of fire.
You will need to take into consideration on the range of temperature; at the time of installation to the maximum temperature expected. The gaps space for the width of the deck boards should be about 3/16”to 1/4” to allow movement and to ensure no water and dirt are collected in between. The gap space for the length of the deck boards should about 3/16” to 1/4” to prevent buckling caused by hot weather expansion.
Most materials will fade when continually exposed to UV and other weather conditions. The INOVAR Decking is made from wood plastic composite that are blended with high quality material and UV-inhibiting pigments to achieve consistency in colour and minimise colour fading.
The INOVAR DeckShield Decking have UV protectors that will reduce the effects of colour fading. However, the INOVAR NatureDeck does not have the similar UV protector and the colours of the deck boards will fade sooner when exposed to prolong strong sunlight.
Unlike conventional wood planks, INOVAR composite decking does not require to be sanded, painted or stained to maintain the quality of its surface and colour. Painting is not recommended as this may occur similar maintenance issus as conventional wood planks once you do so.
Depending on how often it is used, the INOVAR Decking can last for many years. It comes with 25 years limited warranty. However, since this product is known to not decay or lost its structural integrity, it may last you well beyond time.
